Hemstock’s Jewellers – Delivery Policy (UK‑Compliant)

1. Delivery Options

We offer a range of delivery services within the United Kingdom. Available options will be shown at checkout and may vary depending on the value and type of item purchased.

  • Standard Delivery – Royal Mail Tracked

  • Express Delivery – Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed

  • High‑Value Items – Always shipped via insured Special Delivery

  • Click & Collect (if applicable) – Collection from our store once confirmed ready

Delivery times are estimates and may vary during busy periods.


2. Dispatch Times

Orders are typically dispatched within 1–3 working days. Custom‑made or personalised items may require additional time; estimated dispatch dates will be provided at the point of order.

If we are unable to meet the estimated dispatch time, we will contact you promptly.


3. Delivery Charges

Delivery costs are calculated at checkout based on:

  • Delivery method selected

  • Order value

  • Item type (e.g., high‑value jewellery requiring insured shipping)

Any delivery promotions or free‑shipping thresholds will be clearly displayed.


4. Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email containing:

  • Your tracking number

  • A link to track your parcel

  • Expected delivery timeframe

If tracking information is delayed or unavailable, please allow time for Royal Mail’s systems to update.


5. Missed Deliveries & Redelivery

If you are not available to receive your parcel:

  • Royal Mail may leave a calling card

  • You may be able to rearrange delivery or collect from a local depot

Uncollected parcels returned to us may incur a redelivery charge.


6. Delivery Issues

Please contact us immediately if:

  • Your parcel has not arrived within the expected timeframe

  • Tracking shows an issue

  • The parcel arrives damaged

We will investigate with the courier and keep you updated throughout.


7. International Delivery

Customs Duties & Import Taxes: All orders dispatched from the UK to EU destinations are shipped on a DAP (Delivered At Place) basis unless otherwise stated. This means that import VAT, customs duties, and any carrier handling fees are not included in our prices and must be paid by the customer when the goods reach the destination country.

We have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. Failure to pay may result in delays, parcel return, or destruction by customs. Any costs arising from non‑payment are the customer’s responsibility.

  • Customs processing times vary and may delay delivery. These delays are outside our control.

  • We cannot mark orders as “gift” or undervalue goods to avoid customs charges.

  • Refused or unclaimed parcels returned to us will be refunded minus outbound shipping, return shipping, and any carrier fees.
